The Americans went to score four straight cutting Seattle's lead to 5-4 before the Thunderbirds added a late empty net goal to secure their victory.

Gavin is the youngest player to ever score a goal for the Americans at 15 years, four months, and 19 days. The Surrey, B.C. native was selected second overall by the Americans in the 2021 WHL Prospects Draft.
