
Much Needed Two Points on the Line in Contest Versus Raiders

Regina, Sask. - The Regina Pats (24-32-3-2) begin their three game road swing on Saturday at 7:00 p.m., against the Prince Albert Raiders (25-33-4-1) inside the Art Hauser Centre.
The Pats were shutout for the first time this season on Friday, as the Winnipeg ICE went into town and blanked the Pats 7-0 at the Brandt Centre, as the Pats end their three game homestand 1-2-0. The ICE extended their winning-streak to 13 games after a four point game from 16-year-old forward Zachary Benson (1G-3A) and a three point effort from Matthew Savoie (2G-1A), as well as a 17-save shutout from goaltender Daniel Hauser who grabbed his league leading eighth shutout of the season, as well as Winnipeg's WHL team leading 11th shutout. The final shots were 31-17 for the ICE. The Pats went 3-for-3 on their penalty kill and 0-for-1 on the power play.
Regina is now six points out of eighth (final playoff spot) with seven games remaining in their schedule. They are chasing Prince Albert, Calgary, Swift Current and Lethbridge, as five teams are fighting for two playoffs spots. Here is how they lineup 7th through 11th:

For the Prince Albert Raiders, they are coming off a 4-2 loss to the Brandon Wheat Kings at home on Friday, as they split both games against the Wheat Kings this week after they won 2-1 over Brandon on Wednesday. The Raiders have five games remaining on their schedule with just two of them on home ice. The Raiders have gone 3-5-2 over their last 10 games, while having lost five of their last six games.

Connor Bedard is the third 16-year-old in team history to reach 80+ points in a season, joining Jeff Friesen (1992-93, 83PTS) and Doug Wickenheiser (1977-78, 88PTS)...is two goals away from breaking Friesen's Pats 16-year-old record of 45 goals set in 1992-93.
BY THE NUMBERS
28: Amount of points (9G-19A) over Tanner Howe's last 22 games with points in 19 of those 22, and goals in eight of those games, while also being a +6 over that span...he is 2nd among all rookies in SH% (23.6%), 3rd in power play points (25) 3rd in points (62), & 4th in assists (37).
70: Points (33G-37A) over Connor Bedard's last 35 games since Nov. 28, with points in 32 of those 35 contests, after he had 15 points (10G-5A) in his first 20 games this season...he is 2nd in the WHL in shots (288), avg 5.2 shots per game...his also T-2nd in goals (44) & 5th in points (85).
