Providence Bruins Fall to Manchester Monarchs, 5-4

MANCHESTER, N.H. -The puck dropped at the Verizon Wireless Arena at 7:00PM tonight for the Providence Bruins' second road game of the weekend.

The Providence Bruins took an early lead thanks to a goal from Anthony Camara just 2:34 seconds into the first period. The assists went to Cross and Werek. The Monarchs answered Camara's goal at the 9:27 mark to tie the score at one. The Manchester Monarchs struck once again on a power play at the 14:28 mark to take the lead. Auger scored a third goal for the Monarchs about 30 seconds later at the 14:54 mark to end the first period.

The Providence Bruins entered the second period ready to bounce back from their 2 goal defecit. The Bruins started the period strong once again thanks to a power play goal from David Pastrnak to make the score 3-2 at the 3:39 mark. Ferlin tied the score at 3 at the 8:21 mark with the assists going to Werek and Stuart. Malcolm Subban remained steady in net and held off the Monarchs for the rest of the period, keeping the score 3-3.

Both teams went into the third frame of the game eager to break the 3-3 tie. O'Neill got the Monarchs on the board first in the 3rd at the 2:17 mark. Weal netted the 5th goal of the night for the Manchester Monarchs at the 11:55 mark. Providence anwered Weal's goal with their 4th of the night thanks to David Pastrnak's goal at the 15:19 mark with the assists going to Caron and Florek. Despite battling hard through the third, the Providence Bruins ultimately fell to the Manchester Monarchs 5-4.
