Sharks captain Bryan Lerg jammed home a loose rebound after a strong play to the net by Evan Trupp at 8:49. After great work behind the Pirates net, Ryan Carpenter sent a wraparound attempt towards Mike McKenna and Adam Burish (2nd) flipped home a bouncing puck to even the score at 12:45.
