New Hampshire Fisher Cats News Release
Manchester, NH- The New Hampshire Fisher Cats, Double-A affiliate of the Toronto Blue Jays, will be celebrating Independence Day at Merchantsauto.com Stadium by wearing red, white and blue as the New Hampshire Primaries when they take on the Trenton Thunder, Double-A affiliate of the New York Yankees, on Friday, July 4 at 7:05pm.
This will mark the second time in franchise history the Fisher Cats have 'turned back the clock' by playing as the Primaries, wearing specially-designed uniforms that reflect the original name of the franchise. The Primaries won their Eastern League debut on August 25, 2007, defeating the Portland Sea Dogs, 6-1, before a standing-room-only crowd of 7,712 at Merchantsauto.com Stadium.
"What better way to celebrate the 4th of July than by wearing the Primaries' red, white and blue to celebrate our country's birthday while taking on the future New York Yankees," said Fisher Cats President/General Manager Rick Brenner. "And no July 4th celebration would be complete without an Atlas Fireworks Show for our fans after the game."
To celebrate the 4th of July with the 7:05pm Primaries/Thunder game, followed by an Atlas Fireworks Show, call (603) 641-2005 or visit www.nhfishercats.com.
The Fisher Cats open a three-game weekend series against the New Britain Rock Cats at Merchantsauto.com Stadium on Friday night at 7:05pm. The first 2,000 fans in attendance receive a FREE Spectrum Marketing Companies Jacoby Ellsbury Bobblehead. For tickets, visit www.nhfishercats.com or call (603) 641-2005.
