
Fisher Cats down Rock Cats

New Britain Rock Cats News Release
New Britain, CT - New Hampshire's Brett Cecil shut down the Rock Cats through five innings and the bullpen did the rest as the Fisher Cats downed the Rock Cats, 3-1.
Cecil (3-1, 3.21) allowed five hits while striking out four. Four relievers combined to limit the Rock Cats to four hits and one run over four innings.
Anthony Hatch put the Fisher Cats on the board with an RBI single in the top of the second. J.P. Arencibia added a solo home run to lead off the fourth for a 2-0 advantage.
The Fisher Cats tacked on another run in the seventh. Jacob Butler led off with a triple and scored on a sacrifice fly by Eric Nielsen.
Erik Lis' double scored Danny Valencia, who reached base on a single, in the eighth for the Rock Cats' lone run.
Ryan Mullins tossed seven solid innings for the Rock Cats. Mullins (6-6, 3.40) allowed two earned runs on seven hits. He struck out five. Armando Gabino added two scoreless innings out of the bullpen.
Zachary Dials fired a scoreless ninth to notch his 11th save.
