The BlueClaws plated seven runs against reliever Colton Cain, spread out over two innings, including a four-run seventh to take the lead for good. Elias Diaz tripled and drove in three runs to pace the West Virginia offense. The Power split the season series with Lakewood at nine wins each with one game canceled due to un-playable grounds.

WALK OF LIFE: West Virginia's pitching staff continues to lead all of baseball with the fewest number of batters walked this year. Power pitchers have combined to walk 265 batters through 112 games. The lowest team total in club history is 346 during the 2010 season. The league's record low over a 140 game season is 314 by Augusta in 2001.

BRING ON THE BABY BOMBERS: West Virginia begins it final series against the Charleston RiverDogs this evening. The clubs have already played 11 games this season after having only played a total of four times in 2010. West Virginia leads the all-time set 18-13, and the Power have a 8-3 lead since 2005 at Appalachian Power Park. The New York Yankees SAL affiliate is in Charleston, WV for the second time this season after having not played in West Virginia since the 2009.

GETTING ROSEY: Zack Von Rosenberg has pitched well over his last four starts, allowing just four earned runs over 22 innings. The Power pitcher has made more starts than any other pitcher this season with 22, and has lowered his ERA down over one full run during this recent stretch. Von Rosenberg also leads the club with 88 strikeouts this season.

STREAKS: Mel Rojas Jr. has a seven game hitting streak heading into his next game, while Drew Maggi has a current six game streak. Rojas is batting .300 during this stretch, while Maggi has 11 hits over his last 28 at bats during his streak for a .393 clip.

SEE-SAW SCHEDULE: The final few weeks of the 2011 season will see the Power bounce between home and road series. After this four-game set against Charleston, the Power open a four game series in Kannapolis on August 14. Four days later, they'll host Delmarva for four. After a four day trip to Greensboro starting August 22, the Power open their final homestand of the season; a five game run against Lexington beginning on August 26. The last excursion of the year sends West Virginia to Delmarva over Labor Day weekend.

VERGE OF HISTORY: Rogelio Noris has 24 career home runs for West Virginia over nearly two seasons in a Power jersey. Noris has matched Stephen Chapman for the most home runs in any player's Power career. Chapman hit a single-season record 24 home runs in a Power uniform in 2007. Noris, however, has not hit a home run since July 15, a span of 14 games and 57 at bats.
