Legends Four-Game Homestand Offers Fireworks, Bucket Boys and More

The Lexington Legends will open a four-game home stand tonight (Wednesday) at Whitaker Bank Ballpark. In addition to South Atlantic League baseball, a wide variety of fun and entertainment is on the schedule, including the famous "Bucket Boys" percussion group on Friday night and fireworks on Saturday night. Games will begin at 7:05 p.m. Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday. The Legends will be matched against the Augusta GreenJackets, an affiliate of the World Series champion San Francisco Giants.

"It's a short homestand, but there's a lot going on," said Legends General Manager Andy Shea. "The Bucket Boys are a great act, and 'Thirsty Thursday' and fireworks are always big favorites with our fans."

Wednesday, August 10: Legends vs. Augusta, 7:05 p.m. Fans are invited to enjoy some "mid-week stress relief" with Legends' baseball.

Thursday, August 11: Legends vs. Augusta, 7:05 p.m. It's a Penn Station "Thirsty Thursday," when beer and Pepsi products are on sale for $1 each.

Friday August 12: Legends vs. Augusta, 7:05 p.m. - The Bucket Boys, the talented percussionists from Chicago's South Side, have amazed audiences in ballparks and arenas throughout the nation. They'll bring their buckets - and their incredible act - to Whitaker Bank Ballpark Friday.

Saturday, August 13: Legends vs. Augusta, 7:05 p.m. Fans can get in on the Ducky Spin to Win, which provides a chance to win prizes while supporting the Big Brothers/Big Sisters program. Also, the Legends will celebrate Big L's birthday Saturday night. After the game, there will be a fireworks show presented by Central Kentucky Ford Dealers, and the Boy Scouts will camp out at the ballpark overnight.
