Pierro-Zabotel Returns from AHL Charlotte

Forward Casey Pierro-Zabotel has been re-assigned to the Gwinnett Gladiators from the Charlotte Checkers of the American Hockey League.

Pierro-Zabotel earned two points (one goal, one assist) in five games with the Checkers in his first stint in the AHL this season. The Ashcroft, BC native is currently ranked third in the ECHL in scoring with 74 points. He also leads the Gladiators in scoring with 21 goals and 53 assists in 65 games this season. The forward also holds the Gladiators season high for most consecutive games with at least one point at nine games.

Pierro-Zabotel posted 35 points (eight goals, 27 assists) in 71 games with the Bakersfield Condors last season.

Pierro-Zabotel was drafted by the Pittsburgh Penguins in the 2007 NHL entry draft in the third round.

The Gladiators are the ECHL Affiliate of the Phoenix Coyotes of the National Hockey League and are members of the ECHL, the Premier "AA" Hockey League and play all home games at the 11,355-seat Arena at Gwinnett Center, located just off I-85 on Sugarloaf Parkway in Duluth.
