
Peter Macarthur Named Sher-Wood ECHL Player of the Week

Princeton, N.J. - Peter MacArthur of the Adirondack Thunder is the Sher-Wood Hockey ECHL Player of the Week for March 14-20.
MacArthur scored one goal, added seven assists and was a +4 in three games at Orlando last week. The 30-year-old tallied four assists in a 6-2 win on?Thursday, added an assist in a 6-3 loss on Saturday and picked up three points (1-2-3) in a 5-3 loss on Sunday. MacArthur's four-assist game on Thursday tied his ECHL career high, which he set on October 28, 2011 as a member of the Las Vegas Wranglers.
The Clifton Park, NY native has 31 points (7g-24a) in 38 games with the Thunder this season, highlighted by eight multi-point games. The 5-11 forward began the 2015-16 season with Graz EC in Austria, where he had seven points (2g-5a) in 26 games.
MacArthur has recorded 83 points (25-58-83) in 79 career ECHL games with Adirondack, Las Vegas and Fresno, in addition to 86 points (29-57-86) in 190 career American Hockey League games with Bridgeport, Rockford, San Antonio, Peoria and Lake Erie.
Prior to turning pro, he played four seasons at Boston University, tallying 147 points (64-83-147) in 159 career games, where he was named an AHCA East Second-Team All-American. On behalf of Peter MacArthur, a case of pucks will be donated to a local youth hockey organization by Sher-Wood?Hockey, the exclusive puck supplier of the ECHL.
