(Tuesday, Mar. 15th @ Rapid City) Rapid City scored four goals in the third period to defeat the Eagles 5-2 at Rushmore Plaza Civic Center on Tuesday. Forward Everett Sheen netted a short-handed goal, while fellow forward Trent Daavettila added an even-strength tally in the loss.
(Wednesday, Mar. 16th vs. Rapid City) Defenseman Adrian Veideman's goal with 1:01 remaining in the third period pulled the Eagles to within one goal of the Rapid City Rush, but they would be unable to complete the comeback, as they fell to Rapid City 4-3 at the Budweiser Events Center on Wednesday. Lindsay Sparks scored a pair of goals for the Rush, while forwards Johnny Lazo and Kyle Ostrow each posted a goal and an assist in the losing effort.
(Friday, Mar. 18th vs. Utah) Rookie forward Tyler Fiddler's first professional goal would prove to be the game-winner, as the Eagles knocked off the Utah Grizzlies 4-3 at the Budweiser Events Center on Friday. Utah capitalized on three of their six powerplays in the contest, but Eagles goaltender Clarke Saunders turned aside 21 of the Grizzlies 24 shots to claim the win in net.
(Saturday, Mar. 19th vs. Utah) Forward Tyler Fiddler scored his second goal in as many games to push the Eagles and Grizzlies into overtime on Saturday night. Utah forward Ryan Hayes, however would prove to be the hero in the extra session, banging home a puck in the low-slot to give the Grizzlies the 2-1 overtime victory. Ryan Faragher picked up the win in net, making 39 saves on 40 shots.
