Americans Players and Broadcaster Participate in Floor Hockey Game in Plano

Floor Hockey with the Allen Americans

Allen, Texas - The Allen Americans participated in the second annual floor hockey game at Daffron Elementary School in Plano on Wednesday afternoon.
Allen Americans players Chad Costello, Joel Rumpel and Casey Pierro-Zabotel, along with Americans broadcaster Tommy Daniels, joined the staff team from Daffron playing in a floor hockey game against the students. The Daffron kids were successful winning in a shootout, 7-6.
"I think I was having as much fun, if not more, than the kids," said Americans Co-Captain Chad Costello. "They are a great group of youngsters who love hockey. We were happy to be a part of their game and look forward to a rematch next season."
The event was setup by Jon Beard, a longtime Allen Americans season ticket holder , who is a teacher at Daffron. Americans players handed out tickets to this Sunday's game against Missouri, as well as signed autographs for students after the game.
