Alaska Aces News Release

ANCHORAGE, ALASKA -The Alaska Aces have announced that forward Alec Hajdukovich and goaltender Lukas Hafner will join the club off after being signed following completion of their college eligibility.

Aces President of Hockey Operations and Head Coach Rob Murray made the announcement Tuesday.

A native of Fairbanks, AK, the 5-foot-10, 185-pound Hajdukovich played in 109 games for the University of Alaska-Fairbanks (NCAA). He collected 34 points (14g, 20a) and 54 penalty minutes. He played junior hockey for the Fairbanks Ice Dogs prior to his UAF commitment.

"Alec will have an opportunity to show us his game at the professional level", said Murray. "He'll give us some depth at the forward position for the rest of the season".

Hafner joins the club after playing college hockey for Andy Murray at Western Michigan University. The 6', 205 pound netminder was 25-37-10 in 86 career games with the Broncos. His best season was his junior year 2014-15 when he fashioned a 2.42 goals against average and a save percentage of .914.

"Lukas comes highly recommended by Coach Murray at Western", said Murray. "He's got good size...fills the net well."

Both players will be available for the Aces when they open a three-game series at home against the Rapid City Rush Thursday at the Sullivan Arena.

The Aces take on Rapid City Thursday, March 24, Friday, March 25 and Saturday, March 25 at the Sullivan Arena.

For tickets, stop by the Aces ticket office at 15th and Gambell Monday through Friday 9am to 5pm or go online at www.alaskaaces.com.
