ESTERO, FL - Florida Everblades President & General Manager Craig Brush along with Head Coach Greg Poss announced Tuesday that the team has agreed to terms with forward Greg Gibson to an amateur tryout agreement. Additionally, the Everblades released defenseman Joe McNamara from his amateur tryout and agreed to terms with him to a standard contract.
Gibson, 25, joins the Everblades after recently posting a career best 51 points (29g, 22a) in 39 games played during his senior season at Robert Morris University (AHA). The 5-10, 175-pound forward totaled 117 points (66g, 51a) during his four-year collegiate career with the Colonials from 2012-2016.
The Burlington, Ontario native also recorded 54 points (23g, 31a) in 52 appearances with the Amarillo Bulls of the NAHL during the 2011-12 season.
The Florida Everblades open up a two-game weekend set this Friday when they take on the Greenville Swamp Rabbits. Friday's puck drop is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. Full promotional details for this weekend's games listed below.

Saturday, March 26 vs. Greenville, 7:00 p.m. - Guns N' Hoses night. It's a hockey double-header as local police and fire fighters battle it out on the ice at 5:15 p.m. Then at 7:00 p.m. the Everblades will wear special Guns N' Hoses themed jerseys which will be auctioned off following the game. A ticket to the Everblades game gets you into the Guns N' Hoses game for free. Pregame tailgate party featuring live music, bounce houses and face painting begins at 5:00 p.m....Safeguard Shredding Services will also be bringing a truck on-site to Germain Arena. Fans can bring anything that needs to be shredded before the game and Safeguard Shredding Services will shred for FREE from 5:00-7:00 pm!
