The Senators evened their series in Richmond on Friday night with a 5-2 win over the Richmond Flying Squirrels evening their record at 17-17. The story Friday night was Brad Peacock as he fanned 14 and allowed just five hits and a run improving his record to 5-1.
Peacock struck out at least one batter in every inning and finished his outing by striking out the final five batters he faced spanning the sixth and seventh innings. Patrick McCoy pitched the final two innings, allowing just a run to earn his second save on the season.
Stephen King was the offensive hero driving in the first three runs for the Sens with a single in the second, then a big two-out two-run single in the sixth to break a 1-1 tie. Derek Norris hit his second home run in the eighth, and Jonathan Tucker scored from second on an infield single in the ninth for the Sens final tally. Matt Antonelli, Steve Lombardozzi, King and Tucker all had two hits in the game.
With the win, the Harrisburg improves to 17-17 while Richmond falls to 16-19 on the season.
