Regina Pats News Release

Regina, Sask. - The Regina Pats (20-27-2-1) host the Lethbridge Hurricanes (22-25-2-1) at 7:00 p.m., inside the Brandt Centre.

The Pats are coming off a 3-2 loss to the Red Deer Rebels on Friday, as they finish the season series 0-4, with all games decided by two goals or less. The Pats got goals from Stanislav Svozil and Tye Spencer, while Drew Sim made 26 saves in the loss. The Pats were outshot 29-24, while they went 0-4 on the power play and 2-3 on the penalty kill.

The Pats are now 4-5-1 over their last 10 games and 1-3-1 over their last five games.

On the other side, the Lethbridge Hurricanes had their two-game winning streak snapped on Friday with a 6-3 loss in Brandon against the Wheat Kings at Westoba Place. Jett Jones scored twice while Ty Nash potted the other in the setback; Bryan Thomson made 29-saves in the contest. Lethbridge outshot Brandon 44-35 in the game. The Hurricanes went 1-6 on the power play while the Wheat Kings were 2-4 with the extra man.

The Hurricanes are on a season-long seven-game road trip due to the Tim Hortons Brier being at the ENMAX Centre. The 'Canes will play the seven games over 13-days all in the East Division spanning over 3,200 kilometres. Lethbridge is 1-1-0-0 on the trip so far.

Overage forward Justin Hall recorded a career-high five goal game on Saturday against Medicine Hat. Hall became the first 'Cane to score five goals in a game since Jaimen Yakubowksi struck for five on December 7, 2012. Hall is just the second WHL player in the last six seasons to score five in a game. Hall has recorded four hat-tricks this season.
