Regina, Saskatchewan - The Regina Pats Hockey Club is pleased to announce that they have acquired forward Justyn Gurney from the Calgary Hitmen in exchange for a sixth round pick in the 2019 WHL Bantam Draft.

Gurney (6'2, 195), just completed his 17-year-old season in Calgary, scoring one goal and adding three assists in 54 games.

"We are happy to add Justyn to our organization," said Pats Head Coach and GM John Paddock. "He will add depth to our forward group heading into next season."

Gurney was originally a sixth round pick of the Hitmen in the 2015 WHL Bantam Draft. The product of Delta, BC won a BCMML championship in 2016 with the Valley West Hawks. He scored 22 goals and had 39 points that season in 40 games.

The Pats continue preparations for the historic 100th Mastercard Memorial Cup. Two ticket packages are available at mastercardmemorialcup.ca.
