ICE Make Nine Selections in the 2018 WHL Bantam Draft

Red Deer, AB - The Kootenay ICE made nine selections in the 2018 WHL Bantam Draft on Thursday.
"Today is a very exciting day for our franchise, we were committed to following a plan and taking the best player available when it was our turn to pick," said Matt Cockell, President and General Manager. "Jake, Taras, Zenon and our staff did a tremendous job."
With the second overall pick, the ICE selected defenceman Carson Lambos from the Rink Hockey Academy Nationals Bantam Prep of the Canadian Sport School Hockey League (CSSHL). Lambos - six-feet, 197-pounds - registered 15 goals and 25 assists for 40 points in 30 games during the 2017-18 regular season.
"Carson is a great skater, moves the puck well and an elite talent," said Jake Heisinger, Director, Scouting and Hockey Operations. "We are excited to add this group of prospects to the ICE family."
