Rochester Americans News Release

(Rochester, NY)... Florida Panthers General Manager Dale Tallon announced today that the club has recalled D Clay Wilson from the Rochester Americans (AHL). In a related move, the Amerks signed defenseman Brian O'Hanley to a 25-game professional tryout and released forward Michael Dubuc from his PTO.

Wilson, 27, earns his first recall of the season to the Florida Panthers. The Sturgeon Lake, MN, native appeared in two games for the Panthers during the 2009-10 campaign. For his career in the National Hockey League, he has played in 16 games for Columbus (2007-08), Atlanta (2008-09) and Florida (2009-10), scoring one goal with two assists and two PIM.

Wilson has played in 44 games with Rochester this year, registering 28 points (8+20) and 18 PIM. He was also selected to represent the Western Conference at the American Hockey League All-Star game on January 31st.

O'Hanley, 26, will join the Amerks this evening and can potentially make his American Hockey League debut tonight against the Syracuse Crunch. The Quincy, Massachusetts, native is currently in his third season with the ECHL's Cincinnati Cyclones, where he has six goals and 17 assists for 23 points in 38 games. Originally a ninth-round pick (267th overall) of the San Jose Sharks in the 2003 NHL Entry Draft, the 5-foot-11, 191-pound forward played under current Amerks head coach Chuck Weber the previous two seasons, helping Cincinnati to its second Kelly Cup championship in three years in 2010.

Dubuc returns to the ECHL's Elmira Jackals where he has 21 points (11+10) in 14 games. He was among the ECHL league leaders in overall scoring at the time of his recall. He collected two points (1+1) in four games with the Amerks.
