Rochester Americans News Release
(Rochester, NY)... Rochester Americans fans will have the unique opportunity to share in the life of Craig Charron at "Sharky's Celebration." The event will be held on Wednesday, February 23rd at 7:05 p.m. at The Blue Cross Arena and will be a tribute to Charron, who lost his battle with cancer last October.
"The support and generosity to our family from the Rochester community, the Rochester Americans and the Rochester Americans Alumni Association has been amazing and we are truly grateful," said Craig's wife, Wendy. "Craig felt great pride wearing the Rochester Americans' sweater and we are proud to call Rochester home. Jerseys and other memorabilia will be raffled off that night by the Rochester Americans Alumni Association in support of Craig Charron's family.
"We are proud to play a small part in the celebration of Sharky's life," said Amerks President Lewis Staats. "Hopefully the fans and friends of Sharky will join Amerks staff and players and more importantly Craig's wife and children for this event."
