
Panthers Loan Goaltender Scott Clemmensen to Rampage for Conditioning Purposes

SAN ANTONIO (November 3, 2011) - Florida Panthers Executive Vice President & General Manager Dale Tallon announced today that goaltender Scott Clemmensen has been loaned to San Antonio (AHL) for conditioning purposes. In addition, the Rampage have assigned left wing AJ Jenks, right wing Jonathan Hazen and goaltender Tyler Plante to their ECHL affiliate, the Cincinnati Cyclones.
Clemmensen, 34, has appeared in 122 career National Hockey League (NHL) games with a 50-39-14 record and a .888 save percentage and a 2.79 GAA with New Jersey (2001-02, 2003-04, 2005-17, 2008-09), Toronto (2007-08) and Florida (2009-11). The Des Moines, Iowa native has played in 198 career AHL games posting a 65-79-24 record with a .911 save percentage and a 2.84 GAA with Albany (2001-06), Lowell (2006-07, 2008-09) and Toronto (2007-08). He was selected by the New Jersey Devils in the 8th round (215th overall) in the 1997 NHL Entry Draft.
Jenks, 21, has appeared in eight Rampage games this season tallying four PIM. The Wolverine Lake, Mich. native has skated in 71 games with Rochester (AHL) posting eight goals and 12 assists during his rookie season in 2010-11. He was selected by the Florida Panthers in the 5th round (100th overall) in the 2008 NHL Entry Draft.
Hazen, 21, has appeared in eight games with the Rampage this season scoring the game-tying goal in the Rampage's 3-2 shootout victory on opening night, Oct. 8 vs. Chicago.
Plante, 24, has played in two games with the Rampage this season posting a 0-2-0 record and a .889 save percentage and a 3.14 GAA. The Milwaukee, Wis. native has appeared in 108 career AHL games posting a 36-55-5 record and a .900 save percentage and a 3.15 GAA. He was selected by the Florida Panthers in the 2nd round (32nd overall) in the 2005 NHL Entry Draft.
The Rampage will return to the ice on Saturday, Nov. 5 to host the Toronto Marlies at 7 p.m. at the AT&T Center. Saturday's game features Face-Off Against Kids Cancer Night in which the team will wear specially themed jerseys that will be auctioned off after the game to benefit the Face-Off Against Kids Cancer program.
