
Bulldogs Assign Peter Delmas to Wheeling

HAMILTON, ON - Montreal Canadiens and Hamilton Bulldogs General Manager Pierre Gauthier announced today that goaltender Peter Delmas has been assigned by the Hamilton Bulldogs to the ECHL's Wheeling Nailers. The netminder did not see any action during his recent stint with the 'Dogs.
Delmas, 21, has played in one game for Wheeling this season where he recorded a win while making 21 saves. Last season, the Bedford, Nova Scotia native played in two games with the Hamilton Bulldogs, posting a 1-0-1 record, a 1.92 goals against average and a .933 save percentage. In 24 games with the Nailers in 2010-2011, Delmas recorded 15 wins, 6 losses and 2 overtime losses, a 2.03 goals against average and a .928 save percentage.
In the ECHL's 2011 Kelly Cup Playoffs, Delmas posted an 8-5-1 record, a 3.13 goals against average and a .903 save percentage playing in 15 of Wheeling's 17 post-season games before the Wheelers were eliminated in six games by the Kalamazoo Wings in the Eastern Conference Finals. The 6'2=1B$B!G!G=1B(B, 190-pound goaltender finished the playoffs ranked second in the league in playoff games (15) and saves (391), and third in wins (8).
The left-handed-catching netminder played in 149 career regular season games in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League (QMJHL) between 2006 and 2010 with Lewiston MAINEiacs, Quebec Remparts and Halifax Mooseheads.
The Hamilton Bulldogs will continue their six-game homestand tomorrow night, Friday, November 4th at 7:30 p.m. when they face the Houston Aeros in a rematch of last season's Western Conference Final. The 'Dogs will then host the Lake Erie Monsters on Saturday, November 5th at 7:00 p.m. All 'Dogs games can be heard live on AM 820 CHAM or on www.hamiltonbulldogs.com, or seen live on www.ahllive.com beginning with the Pioneer Pre-Game Show 30 minutes prior to the scheduled start time.
