Atlantic City Boardwalk Bullies News Release

ATLANTIC CITY, N.J. – The Atlantic City Boardwalk Bullies of the ECHL have acquired defenseman Kam White from the Pensacola Ice Pilots in exchange for future considerations. White will arrive in Atlantic City tomorrow and should be on the ice for opening night Friday against Texas.

"Kam brings a couple of things to the table," said Head Coach Mike Haviland. "His leadership will certainly guide our young defense, and we believe that his physical presence back on the blue line gives us something we've been lacking.

Bullies fans should be fairly acquainted with White as he spent the past two seasons with rival Trenton. In 2002-03, the Chicago native led the Titans with 241 penalty minutes while chipping in two goals and nine assists. The 27-year-old White stands 6'4", weighs 220 pounds, and enters his ninth season of professional hockey. His career totals include nine goals, 53 assists, and 1,449 penalty minutes in 400 professional games.

White is the son of former Chicago Blackhawks defensive great Bill White, who was recently named to the Blackhawks 75th Anniversary Team. White was a sixth-round selection of the Toronto Maple Leafs in the 1994 NHL Entry Draft.

The defending ECHL Kelly Cup Champion Boardwalk Bullies open Season Three against the Texas Wildcatters on Friday, October 17, at Boardwalk Hall. Season tickets, flex plans, group tickets, and "Shoobie Packages" for the 2003-04 regular season are on sale by calling (609) 348-PUCK.
