P-Bruins have six-point weekend

Providence, RI - The P-Bruins swept a three game weekend and are currently on a four game winning streak. Providence defeated the Lowell Lock Monsters 4-1 Friday at the Dunkin' Donuts Center. Eric Healey had two goals as part of a three point night and Jordan Sigalet made 24 saves. Saturday the P-Bruins led the Springfield Falcons 2-0 on goals from Healey and Ben Guite before the Falcons scored twice in the third period to send the game into overtime. 45 seconds into overtime Eric Nickulas scored to give the P-Bruins a 3-2 victory. Sunday at the Dunkin' Donuts Center, the P-Bruins wrapped up the weekend with a 4-0 shutout of the Hershey Bears as Sigalet earned his first professional shutout. The P-Bruins are now 34-25-1-3, 72 points, on the season and remain in fourth place in the Atlantic Division. They have an eleven point lead over the fifth place Lock Monsters and are only six points behind the third place Manchester Monarchs with a game in hand.

Eric Healey continues to lead the P-Bruins in scoring with 58 points (28g, 30a). He also leads the P-Bruins in power play goals with eleven. Nathan Robinson is second on the team in scoring with 53 points (25g, 28a). Rookie Tyler Redenbach remains third on the team in scoring with 45 points (18g, 27a). He also leads the team in plus/minus at +18 and is second among AHL rookies in the same category. Ben Guite is fourth on the team in scoring with 41 points (20g, 21a). Pascal Pelletier rounds out the top five on the team in scoring with 36 points (14g, 22a).

The following 22 players have been placed on the Providence Bruins Clear Day List: Goaltenders Jordan Sigalet and Brian Eklund; Forwards Eric Healey, Tyler Redenbach, Nathan Robinson, Pascal Pelletier, Ben Walter, Eric Nickulas, Jeremy Reich, Ben Guite, Jason MacDonald, Nate Thompson, David Lundbohm and Yan Stastny; Defenseman Jay Leach, Chris Dyment, Jonathan Sigalet, Mark Stuart, Sean Curry, Michael Schutte, Ryan Gaucher and Scott Ford.

The P-Bruins are back at home at the Dunkin' Donuts Center Friday, March 17 versus the Bridgeport Sound Tigers at 7:05 p.m. All fans will receive stress pucks courtesy of Regional Mortgage. The Providence Bruins auction of their Dunkin' Donuts warm-up jerseys is underway on the team website, providencebruins.com. The jerseys are the actual ones worn by the P-Bruins' players during the warm-up period at each home game this season. The auction is available only on the P-Bruins' website, and will run through 12:00 noon on Saturday, April 1. Net proceeds from the auction of the jerseys will be donated to Hasbro Children's Hospital in Providence.

Providence Bruins centers Tyler Redenbach and Ben Walter will be signing autographs and meeting with fans at Shaw's located on Atwells Avenue in Providence from 3:30p.m. to 5:30p.m. on Thursday, March 16. Shaw's and the Providence Bruins will also be giving away pairs of tickets to an upcoming P-Bruins game.
