Pirates Announce Clear Day Roster

PORTLAND, ME- Today the Portland Pirates announced their official clear day roster for the remainder of the regular season and the 2006 Calder Cup Playoffs. Each Clear Day roster consists of a maximum of 22 players.

According to AHL by-laws, only those players listed on a team's Clear Day roster are eligible to compete in the remaining five weeks of the 2005-06 AHL regular season and in the 2006 Calder Cup Playoffs, unless emergency conditions arise as a result of recall, injury or suspension. Teams may also add signed junior players or players on amateur tryout contracts, only after their respective junior or college seasons are complete. The complete 2005-06 Pirates Clear Day roster is listed below.

The Pirates return to action on Saturday, Hockey Night in Portland, March 18th against the Bridgeport Sound Tigers at 7:05 p.m. This will be the fourth U.S. Cellular Night! The first 5,000 fans will receive the second set of 12 Portland Pirates player collector cards sponsored by U.S. Cellular. Plus, after the game, 2,000 fans will also receive a coupon from Subway.
