Monsters to host Guns 'N Hoses Night this Sunday

Lowell, Mass. - The Lowell Lock Monsters will honor the men and women of local police and fire departments when they host their annual Guns ‘N Hoses Night on Sunday, March 19th when the Monsters take on the Manchester Monarchs. The Monsters game starts at 4:05 p.m. that day, sponsored by Trinity Ambulance.

Prior to the American Hockey League match, the Massachusetts State Police C Troop hockey team will be playing the Manchester, NH, Police Department hockey team. Game time for the police vs. police showdown is 2:15 and the doors will open that day at a special time of 2:00 p.m. The first 1,500 fans through the doors, starting at 2:00, will get a free Lock Monsters Guns ‘N Hoses puck.

Group tickets will be sold to area police and fire departments at just $12 each, with $3 from each ticket purchased being donated to charity. The tickets sold to police departments will raise funds for the Massachusetts Concerns of Police Survivors (Mass C.O.P.S.) organization, and the fire department tickets sold will benefit both the Shriners Boston Children's Hospital and the Lowell Fire Safety Education Program. All police and fire department members and their family can purchase tickets individually or as a group, by contacting Zack Hoover at (978) 458-PUCK (7825). There is no minimum or maximum number of tickets to order for the discount, but they must be purchased in advance. In addition to the game, there will be other related activities as well as child safety booths and demonstrations.

The Monsters have a pair of road games this Friday (Springfield) and Saturday (Manchester) before hosting Manchester on Sunday. Sundays are Family Four Pack games, featuring 4 tickets, 4 scrumptious hot dogs and 4 refreshing Pepsis for just $49. In addition, everyone in attendance is welcome to hit the ice for a free post-game skate. Complimentary skate rental is available, or fans can bring their own to the game.

Individual tickets start at $10 and are on sale now at the Tsongas Arena box office, which is open from 10:00 a.m. - 5:30 p.m. Monday through Friday and 10:00 - 2:00 p.m. on Saturdays.
