Capitals Recall Klepis from Hershey, Assign Beech and Gordon

The Washington Capitals have recalled forward Jakub Klepis from the Hershey Bears of the American Hockey League (AHL) and assigned forwards Kris Beech and Boyd Gordon to the Bears, vice president and general manager George McPhee announced.

Klepis, 20, has played 19 games with the Capitals this season, recording one goal and three assists. He scored his goal in his first career NHL game, Nov. 4 vs. Atlanta. In 48 games with the Bears this season Klepis has 11 goals and 17 assists (28 points).

Gordon, 22, has played 25 games with the Capitals this season, recording one assist. He has 14 goals and 17 assists (31 points) in 46 games for the Bears this season and ranks third on the team with a +7 rating.

Beech, 24, was acquired last week from the Nashville Predators and has played two games with the Capitals. He averaged more than a point per game with the AHL's Milwaukee Admirals this season, ranking third on the team in goals (18), assists (32) and points (50) in 48 games.
