Albany N.Y. - The Albany River Rats announced today that defenseman Eric Lundberg has been reassigned to the Augusta Lynx (ECHL), while goaltender Gregg Naumenko has been released from his professional tryout agreement.
Lundberg, 22, recorded his first and only American Hockey League assist last Wednesday in a 5-3 victory over the Springfield Falcons at Pepsi Arena. He added eight penalty minutes with a plus two rating in 15 games with Albany this year He was originally drafted by the Colorado Avalanche with their third choice (94th overall) in the 2002 NHL Entry Draft and was signed to an AHL contract by Albany on March 3, 2006.
Naumenko, 28, turned in a 1-3-0 record with a 3.41 goals against average and a .906 save percentage in six games with the River Rats during the 2005-06 campaign. He holds a 7-6-0 mark, a 3.16 goals against average and a .897 save percentage in 16 total AHL match-ups with Chicago, Portland and Albany this season.
The River Rats return to action on Friday March 17, 2006 when the club visits the
Syracuse Crunch in a 7:30pm road contest. The game broadcast can be heard live
