
Otters Host Doubleheader on Final Home Date of the Season

(EVANSVILLE, INDIANA) - The first place Evansville Otters (54-34) conclude their regular season home schedule with a doubleheader against the Florence Freedom on Sunday night.
First pitch is set for 4:05 pm CDT at Historic Bosse Field in Evansville, Indiana with both games scheduled for seven innings each.
It is Eastland Mall Labor Day Weekend.

The game will be broadcast live on WUEV 91.5 FM and WUEV.org . Play by play announcer Mike Radomski and color commentator Bill McKeon will have the call beginning at 3:45 pm CDT.
Right-hander Connor Little (2-0, 0.90 ERA) will start for Evansville in game one on Sunday against Florence righty Chuck Weaver (6-6, 2.43 ERA). Fellow righty Edgar Lopez (1-0, 3.00 ERA) will pitch for the Otters in game two against lefty Dave Middendorf (5-7, 4.81 ERA).
The Otters are 4-0 on their current seven game homestand with two, doubleheader sweeps (Windy City - Wednesday, Florence - Friday).
The Otters are 64-63 all-time against the Freedom including a 4-0 mark at home this year. Evansville is 5-2 this summer against Florence. This is the eighth meetings of nine this season.
The Otters had three players in the Frontier League All-Star game on July 16. 3B Shayne Houck started the contest going 2-for-2. Nik Balog pinch hit and played first base, going 0-for-1 with a walk. Josh Allen finished the night 0-for-2 as a defensive replacement and second baseman.
Evansville is 31-15 at home this season and 16-10 in doubleheaders.
