Evansville Otters News Release
O'Fallon, MO - The Otters lost their 7th straight game tonight by a final of 10-8. Evansville trailed 6-2 after the first two innings but battled back, scoring three in the third and three in the fourth to take a two-run lead.
In the bottom of the fourth the Rascals scored two unearned runs off of Jared Trout who came on in relief of an ineffective Matt Restivo after two innings. With the score tied at eight, the Rascals scored two runs off three consecutive hits in the eighth off Kyle Pawelczyk, but the Otters still battled, loading the bases in the ninth off River City closer Mike Benacka who managed to pitch out of the jam, striking out the side around a hit-by-pitch, single, and two-out walk.
The Otters travel to Florence for a three game set starting tomorrow at 3:00CDT.
