
Orlando Drops 3-2 Decision to Greenville

Orlando, FL - Orlando jumped out to a 2-0 lead midway through the second period but Greenville struck for three straight goals to defeat the Solar Bears 3-2 at the Amway Center on Sunday night.
An exciting back-and-forth first period saw the two clubs locked into a 0-0 score as time was winding down. After Solar Bears G Garret Sparks made a few scrambling saves in the final minute, F Scott Tanski led a rush up the ice and shot a puck towards the Greenville goal. F Tyler Murovich tipped the puck out of midair and into the top right corner at 19:21 to give Orlando the lead heading into the first intermission.
The Solar Bears grabbed a 2-0 advantage when F Michael Catenacci knocked home his second of the year at 7:59 of the middle frame. F Ian Slater and F Andrew Johnston assisted on the goal, as Catenacci skated into the high slot and snapped the puck past Greenville goaltender Connor Knapp. The Road Warriors cut the lead in half late in the period when C Andrew Rowe found C Brayden Irwin open in the slot, and Irwin picked the top right corner with 2:50 to play in the period. The Solar Bears took the 2-1 lead into the third.
Greenville tied up the game at 6:43 of the final frame. D Mike Marcou found a puck at the top of the crease after a scramble in front of the net and slammed it home to even the score at 2-2. F Andrew Rowe completed the comeback when he tallied on a rebound goal with 3:11 to play in the contest, lifting Greenville to the 3-2 victory over Orlando.

F Jacob Cepis made his home debut tonight... D Paul Baier returned to the lineup for his first game since November 7. He skated as a forward during tonight's game and registered a fight during the first period... Tonight was the first time this season the Solar Bears have fallen to Greenville (3-1-0-0)... The Solar Bears lost a Sunday game for the first time this year (4-1-0-0)... F Michael Catenacci has now scored in back-to-back games.
