Broda Bangs Home a Game Winner in Boise, 4-3

BOISE - It was not easy, but the Bakersfield Condors (9-15-0-1, 19pts) took two of three games against the Idaho Steelheads (14-9-2-2, 32pts) with a 4-3 win at CenturyLink Arena on Sunday afternoon. C Joel Broda potted the game-winner early in the third period and had three points to lead the Condors to their sixth win in nine games.

First Period

Condors goal: C Gary Steffes off a feed from F Cameron Abney found the back of the net. Time of goal: 2:00; Condors lead, 1-0Condors goal: RW Michael Neal from the bottom of the left circle took a feed from behind the net and beat G Josh Robinson short side. Time of goal: 6:50; Condors lead, 2-0Condors goal: C Matt Thurber on the power play roofed a shot under the crossbar from the left corner. Time of goal: 9:20; Condors lead, 3-0Shots: BAK- 15 | IDH - 12

Second Period

Idaho Goal: F Austin Fyten had a puck deflect off his stick after the initial shot hit the high glass and then crossed the goal line. Time of goal: 32 seconds: Condors lead, 3-1Idaho Goal: F Anthony Nigro poked home a loose puck after G Tyler Bunz was crashed into, taking him out of the play. Time of goal: 4:49; Condors lead, 3-2Idaho Goal: F Tommy Grant tapped home a centering pass on the power play. Time of goal: 14:38; Game tied, 3-3Shots: BAK - 11 | IDH - 10

Third Period

Condors goal: C Joel Broda slipped a low shot past Robinson for his ninth goal of the season. Time of goal: 27 seconds; Condors lead, 4-3.Shots: BAK- 5 | IDH - 9
