While on a two-man advantage, Matt Register fired a shot into the Thunder net to give Ontario a two-goal lead at the 3:36 mark of the third period. Jake Newton extended his point streak to six games, and Couture added his second point of the night with the assists. Landon Oslanski brought the Thunder within one goal with a power-play goal from the point at 8:12 but it wasn't enough for the Thunder as the clock ticked down ending the game 3-2 for the Reign.
