Eagles Gain Point in 4-3 Shootout Loss to Bulls

SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. -The Colorado Eagles (16-6-3-2) gained one point as they fell to the San Francisco Bulls (10-14-2-1), 4-3, in a shootout at the Cow Palace on Saturday night.

Less than five minutes into the first frame Eagles forward Kyle Ostrow beat Bulls netminder Tyler Beskorowany down low to put the Eagles up 1-0. Colorado forward Luke Fulghum capitalized on the Eagles first power play of the night to gain the 2-0 advantage, 8:50 into the first.

Only twenty-six seconds into the second frame, San Francisco defenseman Dylan King found the back of the net to close the scoring gap 2-1. Eagles forward Jonathan Parker tipped in a feed from forward Trent Daavettila to put Colorado back up by two, 3-1, 5:08 into the second period.

Bulls forward Brett Findlay got the better of Eagles goalie Marc Cheverie to make it a one goal game, 3-2, less than one minute into the third. San Francisco forward Adrian Foster caught a rebound for the Bulls second power-play goal of the night, 9:43 into the third stanza, to tie the game, 3-3.

After a scoreless 4-on-4, sudden death overtime, the game headed into a shootout. The only Eagle to best Beskorowany was Ostrow, while San Francisco shooters Dale Mitchell and Jordan Morrison found the back of the net to help the Bulls capture the shootout win, 4-3.
