
Bulls Can't Complete Comeback, Lose 6-4 to Colorado

SAN FRANCISCO - The San Francisco Bulls (10-15-2-1) couldn't complete another comeback, losing to the Colorado Eagles (17-6-3-2), 6-4, Sunday afternoon, at the Cow Palace. The Eagles scored twice in each period. The Bulls had tied up the game in the second, but three consecutive Colorado goals were too much to overcome.
For the third consecutive game, the Eagles jumped out to an early 2-0 lead. Riley Nelson scored the game's first goal at 3:41. Trent Daavettila made it a 2-0 advantage on the power play at 7:27. Just 20 seconds, later the Bulls responded. Dean Ouellet scored from behind the net with assists going to Adrian Foster and Kalvin Sagert. Through 20 minutes, Colorado led 2-1, and out-shot San Francisco 14-8.
In the second period, the Bulls quickly found the equalizer. Brett Findlay beat Adam Brown, wristing it through the five hole. The tally came at 4:13, with assists going to Tyler Gron and Jordan Morrison. The Eagles took back the lead with two goals in 18 seconds. Daavettila notched his second of the game, and Ulanski netted the second. The scores came with 4:42 and 4:24 remaining in the period respectively. Tyler Beskorowany then came in relief of J.P. Anderson At the end of the second Colorado held a 4-2 lead. In the frame, the Bulls outshot the Eagles, 12-10.
The third period began with Colorado extending their lead. Jesse Mychan just barely got one by Beskorowany on a rebound at 8:43. San Francisco once again had an answer. Luke Judson scored at 9:06 on assists from Collin Bowman and Dylan King. Just 20 seconds later, Morrison got another, making it a 5-4 game. Findlay and Gron registered assists. With 9:02 remaining the Eagles got one of the two tallies back. Daavettila scored his third of the night for a hat trick on a five-on-three power play. The Bulls kept up the pressure, but Brown held them scoreless for the final nine minutes to clinch the win.
San Francisco is off for four days before wrapping up their six-game home stand next Friday, December 27 against the Stockton Thunder. The Bulls will don Ugly Sweater Specialty Jerseys that will be live and silent auctioned during and after the game.
