ONTARIO, Calif. - The Ontario Clippers defeated the Iowa, 130-103, on Monday night at the Toyota Center.
Ontario (11-13) closed a tightly contested first quarter on a 15-5 run that turned the game as Iowa (6-17) never led again. The Clippers outscored the Wolves, 34-17, in the second quarter and led by 28 at halftime. After halftime, Ontario led by as many as 41 points in the first of two games between the teams in four days. They will play again Thursday night at 9 p.m. CT.
Iowa had five different double-digit scorers led by Javonte Cook's 21 points and he added five rebounds and five assists. Minnesota assignee Leonard Miller posted a double-double with 15 points and 10 rebounds. Tyrese Martin contributed 16 points while Lance Stephenson scored 13 points. Gabe Kalscheur led the Wolves bench with a season-best 13 points.
Ontario had six different players in double figures led Moussa Diabate who had a game-high 30 points and 14 rebounds.
Iowa visits the South Bay Lakers tonight for a 9 p.m. CT game that will be broadcast on ESPN+.
