ONTARIO, Calif. - The Ontario Clippers (11-13) cruise past Iowa Wolves (6-17), 130-103, Monday night on the first night of a three game homestand. The Clippers got off to a blazing start, ending the first quarter on a 15-5 run behind two-way player Moussa Diabate's 10 point, five rebound first quarter. The Clippers would continue their first half dominance, outscoring the Wolves 34-17 in the second quarter to take a 28 point lead into halftime behind five different double-digit first half scorers.
The Wolves opened the second half on an 11-4 run before the Clippers responded, outscoring the Wolves 37-32 in the third quarter. The Clippers would then build their lead to as many as 41 during the fourth quarter. The Clippers scored a season high 130 points thanks to dominating the inside game as they outscored the Wolves 68-36 in the painted area. They also won the transition battle outscoring the Wolves 25-11 on the break.
The Clippers had six different players in double-digit scoring, led by a 30 point, 14 rebound, and three steal performance from big man Moussa Diabate. Josh Primo poured in another 25 points on four three pointers made, followed by an all-around 17-point, six rebound, four assist outing from Kobe Brown. Jordan Miller's 11 points rounded out the scoring for the Clippers' starting lineup. Coming off the bench, Armoni Brooks poured in 17 points, while Joey Hauser added an additional 10 points.
The Wolves had five different double-digit scorers led by Javonte Cook's 21 points, five rebounds, and five assists. Leonard Miller added a double-double with 15 points and 10 rebounds. Tyrese Martin contributed 16 points on four-for-eight three-point shooting, while NBA veteran Lance Stephenson added another 13 points on three-for-six three's made. Gabe Kalscheur led the Wolves bench with 13 points.
