ONTARIO, Calif. - The Ontario Clippers (13-13) win their third straight, defeating the Westchester Knicks (7-19), 115-111, on Sunday night to bring their record back to an even .500.
Three Clippers recorded double doubles, led by Josh Hagins' team-high 27 points and 14 assists, both of which were career-highs. Bryson Williams recorded 21 points and 12 assists while Moussa Diabate added 10 points to go with a whopping 18 rebounds on the afternoon.
Duane Washington Jr. paced the Knicks with a game-high 30 points on 10-of-19 shooting from the field, including 6-of-10 from deep. Brandon Goodwin added a triple double, recording 17 points, 11 rebounds, and 10 assists in the loss.
Ontario owned the first three quarters of the contest, leading by as much as 18 while never trailing. Things got interesting in the fourth as Westchester came out of the break hot, riding a 24-6, to take their first lead of the night. The Clippers wouldn't trail for long, regaining the lead in their next possession after Bryson Williams converted the and-1. The Knicks would get to within two points with six seconds remaining, but a pair of clutch free throws from Brodric Thomas shut the door on the comeback attempt.
