Clippers Fall to Remix in First Matchup of Two-Game Series

ONTARIO, Calif. - The Ontario Clippers (14-16) fell short to the Rip City Remix (17-12), 123-89 late Tuesday night on the first game of back-to-back matchups against the Remix.

The Remix got off to a quick start, opening the game on a 7-0 run before ending the first quarter on another 11-0 run. The Remix won the first quarter 36-20 behind 8 points from Alex Resse off the bench. The Remix continued their strong play, ending the first half with a 68-44 lead thanks to 15 first half points on four-of-seven three-point shooting from D'Moi Hodge. After the intermission, the Remix outscored the Clippers 55-45 in the second half.

The Remix had an efficient shooting night, connecting on 50% (46-92) of their shots from the field and a blistering 46.2% (18-39) from long range. The Clippers were unable to overcome their poor shooting night, hitting just 36.3% (33-91) from the field. The Remix's size proved to be effective as they outscored the Clippers 52-32 in the painted area while also winning the rebounding battle 57-42.

The Clippers had four players score in double digits led by forward Jordan Miller's 21 points and 10 rebounds. Josh Primo contributed 13 points and six assists on three-of-eight three-point shooting. Bryson Williams scored 12 points while Kobe Brown rounded out the scoring with 11 points and five assists.

The Remix had six different players tally double digit scoring led by D'Moi Hodge as he scored 24 points on six-of-10 three-point shooting while also grabbing 10 rebounds. Hodge was an impressive +44 in 37 minutes of action. Ashthon Hagans added another 22 points, while Romeo Weems notched a 14 point, 16 rebound double double. George Conditt IV rounded out the starting lineup with 15 points and 9 rebounds. Coming off the bench, Jazian Gortman added 17 while Alex Resse scored another 15 points.

The Ontario Clippers will face off against the Rip City again on Thursday night in Toyota Arena. Tip-off scheduled for 7:00 PM (PT) on ESPN+ and ClipperVision.
