Rio Grande Valley Vipers forward Jarett Culver led the game with 27 points, six rebounds, five assists, six steals, and two blocks. Center Ray Spalding scored 15 points and totaled two rebounds, six assists, three steals, and two blocks.

The game opened with Stockton center Skal Labissiere hitting the first bucket. Vipers center Ray Spalding quickly responded with a basket to put Rio Grande Valley on the board. Both teams went back and forth, giving way to five lead changes in the first frame. Vipers forward Jarett Culver's layup about four minutes into the game tied them up 10-10 and lit the spark to Rio Grande Valley's eight-point run, ultimately ending the first quarter on top 32-23. The Kings struggled to find a groove in the first half, shooting 16-for-46 from the field and giving up 17 points in turnovers. Stockton guard Dane Goodwin drained a three to begin the second half, followed up with layup from guard Jordan Ford, keeping the Vipers scoreless for roughly three minutes in the third quarter. Culver was quick to strike back with a three that turned into a 15-point run for the Vipers. The run was snapped by Labissiere's dunk that started the Kings 11-pount run. In the end, it was not enough as the Vipers saw their biggest lead at 28 points in the final frame of the game, taking home the win 119-91.

The Stockton Kings will face the Vipers again at Adventist Health Arena on Friday, March 1 at 7:00 PM PST.
