Sioux Falls Skyforce News Release
OKLAHOMA CITY - The Oklahoma City Blue (13-12) defeated the Sioux Falls Skyforce (17-8), 129-120, on Tuesday afternoon at Paycom Center. Two-way player Keyontae Johnson posted a team-high 24 points and seven rebounds while Thunder assignment player Ousmane Dieng tallied 18 points, seven rebounds and seven assists.
"I'm proud of the way we competed for 48 minutes today," Head Coach Kameron Woods said. "We are looking forward to the final month of the season and the challenges ahead."
The first half featured five lead changes and ended with Oklahoma City holding a 68-67 advantage at the break. The Blue outscored the Skyforce 35-22 in the third frame to extend its lead to 103-89 and never let the lead slip below eight points in the fourth quarter on its way to victory.
Hunter Maldonado scored 23 points on 6-of-9 shooting to go along with six rebounds and three assists. Teammate KJ Williams posted a double-double with 17 points and 10 boards while two-way player Adam Flagler added seven points, three boards, and two steals in the win.
Sioux Falls was led by Jamal Cain who posted a game-high 39 points to go along with 13 rebounds and six assists.
Next up, Oklahoma City hits the road to take on the Iowa Wolves on Tuesday, March 12, at 7 p.m. CT at Wells Fargo Arena.
