Saturday, November 25: Peoria Rivermen 3, Ak-Sar-Ben Knights 2
In the rematch in Omaha the next night, Peoria used the powerplay to build a 2-0 advantage in the first period. David Backes scored at 10:06, and Ryan Ramsay tallied less than four minutes later to put the visitors in front. Trent Whitfield scored at 8:01 of the second period while the two teams were skating four-on-four to make it 3-0. Brandon Prust got the Knights in the game when he chipped in the rebound of a shot by Dave Moss to make it 3-1 after two. Richie Regehr drew the Knights to within one when he scored his fourth of the year with 61 seconds remaining in regulation. The Knights could not get the equalizer past goalie Marek Schwarz and dropped their tenth straight game to the Rivermen. Curtis McElhinney started the game and made 12 saves on 15 shots.
