San Jose recalls defenseman Josh Gorges from Worcester

SAN JOSE - San Jose Sharks Executive Vice President and General Manager Doug Wilson announced today that the club has recalled defenseman Josh Gorges from Worcester, the Sharks top development affiliate in the American Hockey League.

Gorges has appeared in 13 games with San Jose this season, posting 12 penalty minutes.

After being assigned to Worcester on Nov. 16, the six-foot-one, 195-pound native of Kelowna, British Columbia notched one assist in seven games with San Jose's top AHL affiliate.

In a related move, the Sharks placed left wing Milan Michalek on the Injured Reserve list retroactive to Nov. 22.
