Today's Game: The Oklahoma City Dodgers conclude their series against the Omaha Storm Chasers at 7:05 p.m. at Chickasaw Bricktown Ballpark. The Dodgers lead the series, 2-1, and seek their second home series win of the season. Tonight is a $2 Thursday.
Last Game: Omaha broke a tie in the top of the 12th inning, scoring the go-ahead run on an error for an eventual 6-5 win Wednesday afternoon at Chickasaw Bricktown Ballpark. With the game tied, 5-5, in the 12th inning, Hunter Dozier hit a one-out double and advanced to third when Tony Cruz flied out. Parker Morin then sent a grounder toward Dodgers second baseman Micah Johnson, who misplayed the ball, allowing Dozier to score the go-ahead run. Omaha never trailed and took 1-0 lead in the first inning on a RBI single by Dozier. The Dodgers answered in the bottom of the first inning with a RBI double by Corey Brown. Omaha regained the lead in the top of the fourth on Orlando Calixte's two-out RBI double for a 2-1 advantage. The Dodgers tied the game again, 2-2, in the bottom of the fourth. Johnson stole third base and then scored on a throwing error during the play by Cruz. In the fifth, Brett Eibner hit a RBI double to regain the lead for Omaha, 3-2. The Storm Chasers took a 4-2 lead in the sixth inning on a RBI single by Ramon Torres. Brandon Hicks homered for the second straight game, belting a solo shot down the left field line to cut Omaha's lead to 4-3 in the bottom of the sixth. Dozier's solo home run put Omaha in front, 5-3, in the seventh. With runners at first and second base and none out in the seventh inning, OKC's Charlie Culberson hit a sharp grounder into left field for a two-run double to tie the game. Omaha reliever Brooks Pounders (4-1) got the win. He struck out seven OKC batters over 3.2 scoreless innings and allowed just one hit. Logan Bawcom (1-3) was charged with the loss.
