Last Game: Kyle Farmer hit a two-run home run and Alex Verdugo later scored on an error as the Dodgers defeated Colorado Springs, 3-1, Sunday night at Chickasaw Bricktown Ballpark. The teams played to a scoreless tie through five innings before Donovan Solano led off the bottom of the sixth with a double and advanced to third base on a groundout by Verdugo. Farmer came up to bat next and hit a home run out to left-center field for a 2-0 Dodgers lead. Verdugo led off with a single and advanced to second base on a wild pitch. Later with one out and Edwin Ríos at the plate, Verdugo stole third base and the throw from Sky Sox catcher Jett Bandy toward third base ended up in left field, allowing Verdugo to score and put the Dodgers in front, 3-1. Brian Schlitter closed out the game for his 20th save of the season. Colorado Springs starting pitcher Aaron Wilkerson (3-5) was charged with the loss, allowing two runs and seven hits over six innings. He did not issue a walk and recorded five strikeouts.

Today's Probable Pitcher: Brock Stewart (3-2) looks to continue his recent string of successful starts...In Stewart's last start, he held Omaha to one run and three hits over 5.0 innings Aug. 22 in OKC, issuing one walk and recording one strikeout. Dynamic Dodgers Duo: Pitcher Manny Bañuelos and outfielder Alex Verdugo were named to the 2018 All-Pacific Coast League Team, the league announced earlier today. Both rank among the league's best in their respective positions with Verdugo pacing the PCL with a .335 batting average and Bañuelos ranking among the league's top 10 pitchers in ERA (3.59) and strikeouts (126)...This marks the fourth straight year a member of the OKC Dodgers has been named to the end-of-season All-PCL Team, but just the second time since Oklahoma City rejoined the PCL in 1998 that multiple players have made the team in the same season, as well as the first time since 1999.

Race for the Batting Title: Alex Verdugo went 3-for-4 last night with a stolen base and a run scored. It was his team-leading 31st multi-hit game and team-leading 12th game with three hits...Verdugo has five hits over the last three games following an 0-for-13 drought over his five games prior to Friday - his longest streak without hit in his two Triple-A seasons...Verdugo paces the PCL with a .335 batting average - two points ahead of Salt Lake's Jose Fernandez (.333). No OKC player has won the PCL batting title since the team reentered the league in 1998.

Starting Line: Through 10 games on the current homestand, the starting rotation has combined for a 2.10 ERA (13 ER/55.2 IP) and held opponents to a .229 batting average (46x201) with four home runs and 43 strikeouts against 11 walks. No starter has allowed more than two earned runs, and the unit has combined for a 4-1 record...August has been the starting rotation's best month since April, combining for a 3.71 ERA, .245 BAA and totaling 10 quality starts in 25 games.

Schlitt's Malt Liquor: Over his last six appearances, reliever Brian Schlitter has retired 18 of 20 batters faced, holding opponents 1-for-19 with one walk and five strikeouts. He's notched saves in each of his last four games, bringing his season total up to 20 --- second in the PCL. It's the most saves recorded by an OKC pitcher since 2012 (Jose Valdez, 21) and third-most in a single season in the team's PCL era (since 1998)...This is also the fourth season of Schlitter's career with 20-plus saves.

Quiet Riot: The Dodgers tallied eight hits last night, marking the 13th straight game the team has finished a game with nine or fewer hits. During that time, the Dodgers are batting .215 (89x413), including .225 (24x106) with runners in scoring position. They have scored 45 runs during the stretch (3.5 rpg)...The lack of offensive production has also been prevalent at home of late. In the team's last 18 home games, the Dodgers have batted just .234 (135x578) and have scored a total of 63 runs, with two or fewer runs seven times.

Around the Horn: Tim Locastro has been hit by pitch in five straight games and 18 times this month --- most in the Majors or Minors. His 28 total HBP's between OKC and the AZL Dodgers rank second among all players in the Majors or Minors. Only Travis Jones of High-A Wilmington has been plunked more often (33)...The Dodgers are 41-28 at home this season, marking the 14th time in 21 seasons in Bricktown the team has notched at least 40 wins...OKC has won five straight home series finales and is 10-6 in home series finales this season.
