Water Main Break Cancels Monday's Grizzlies Game

August 27, 2018 - Pacific Coast League (PCL1)
Fresno Grizzlies News Release

FRESNO, Calif. - Monday's Pacific Coast League baseball game between the Salt Lake Bees and Fresno Grizzlies has been cancelled due to a water main break at the corner of H and Inyo Streets, adjacent to Chukchansi Park. The incident has left the stadium without running water or proper plumbing, and the Grizzlies cannot safely host this evening's game, nor serve food or keep restrooms in satisfactory condition. The game will not be made up.

The remainder of this week's homestand is unaffected. Fresno is scheduled to host the El Paso Chihuahuas for three games Tuesday through Thursday, with each scheduled to begin at 7:05 p.m. Fans holding tickets to Monday's game may exchange them for any remaining 2018 regular season game, or playoff game at no charge. Exchanges may be made at the Chukchansi Park Ticket Office.

Monday's game will not be rescheduled, due to both Pacific Conference Divisions being decided. The Grizzlies (77-55) are now scheduled to play 139 regular season games in 2018. Fresno (Northern Division) will face El Paso (Southern Division) in the Pacific Conference Championship Series, beginning with Games 1 & 2 on September 5-6 at El Paso. The Grizzlies' first home playoff game will be on Friday, September 7 at Chukchansi Park, at 7:05 p.m. (Game 3). Each club clinched their division on Saturday night with Fresno's 7-6 win over Salt Lake.

Individual playoff game tickets and all-inclusive playoff packages (tickets for any and all home playoff games) are available for purchase at FresnoGrizzlies.com or in person at the Chukchansi Park Ticket Office, open during games and usual business hours.
