Oilers Unveil Inaugural ECHL Roster

TULSA, OK - The Tulsa Oilers, in conjunction with the ECHL office, announced their 2014-15 regular season roster on Thursday.

The active roster breakdown is as follows:

Goalies (2): Kevin Carr, Mike Zacharias

Defensemen (6): Scott Macaulay, Jake Obermeyer, Jason Cohen, Kevin Noble, Victor Beaulac, Ricards Birzins

Forwards (11): Adam Pleskach, Max Grassi, Tom Mele, Jeff Jubinville, Drew Fisher, Steve Mele, Kyle O'Kane, Matt Summers, Ty Bilcke, Stephen Blunden, Charles Lachance, Jon Booras

Forward T.J. Caig and defenseman Nathan Lutz have been placed on the ECHL Reserve List. Goaltender Brady Hjelle will start the season on the 21-day Injured Reserve List.

Three players - Lutz, Summers, Booras - are classified as veterans under ECHL rules (260 professional games or more). Eight Oilers - Beaulac, Grassi, Jubinville, Birzins, Bilcke, Blunden, Carr, Hjelle - are categorized as ECHL rookies (less than 25 games of professional experience).

Between the active roster and the reserve list, there are eight players who have competed for the Oilers in the past (Lutz, Pleskach, Macaulay, Obermeyer, Fisher, O'Kane, Steve Mele, Caig).

The Oilers begin their inaugural season in the ECHL on Friday, October 24 with a visit to the Allen Americans. Tulsa's home opener is scheduled for Sunday, October 26 at 4:05 p.m. against the rival Wichita Thunder.
