
Walleye Announce Season Opening Roster

Toledo Walleye News Release
Toledo, OH - Twenty-three players will start the season Saturday, October 18 vs. Cincinnati at the Huntington Center. A copy of the Walleye roster is attached.
Five players are on the roster that have skated with Toledo in previous seasons including forwards Kyle Rogers and Marek Tvrdon, defensemen Tyler Elbrecht and Cody Lampl along with goaltender Jared Coreau. Coreau will pair with the first Toledo goaltender Jeff Lerg.
Four forwards start the season assigned through the Detroit Red Wings organization: Tyler Barnes, Shane Berschbach, Kyle Bonis and Tvrdon. Defenseman Scott Czarnowczan and Coreau are also contracted players down from Grand Rapids, the American Hockey League affiliate.
The defense core is rounded out with Jared Nightingale, Shane Sims, Kevin Clare, Joel Chouinard and Joe Houk. Forwards Troy Schwab, Anthony Luciani, Tom Serratore, Justin Mercier, Dane Walters, A.J. Jenks, Mike Leone and Josh Holmstrom make up the rest of the Walleye lineup.
