Americans Announce 2014-2015 Regular Season Roster

Allen Americans News Release
Allen Texas - The Allen Americans proud first year members of the ECHL along with Head Coach and GM Steve Martinson announced the team's 2014-2015 regular season roster today.
The Americans, along with all 27 other ECHL teams, had to trim their training camp roster down to 21 by yesterday afternoon. The roster Steve Martinson has assembled for opening night is as follows; Jamie Schaafsma, Gary Steffes, Travis Ouellette, Jesse Messier, Brian McMillin, Geoff Irwin, Sy Nutkevitch, Brett Lyon and Devin Di Diomete up front. On the blue-line for the Americans will be Kevin Young, Aaron Gens, Garrett Clarke, John Ryder and Trevor Ludwig. Manning the pipes this season for Allen will be Aaron Dell, who is back with the Americans for a second stint. Dell won the Most Outstanding Goalie award two seasons ago while in Allen. Riley Gill is the other goaltender on the roster, playing his first season with the Americans. Gill came to camp as a free agent, winning a spot on the 21 man roster. Chad Costello and Tyler Ludwig currently occupy the Americans reserve spots. The Americans currently have 18 players signed, leaving up to three available spots on the roster.
The annual Red vs. White scrimmage is this Friday, October 17th at 7:05 pm. Doors to the Allen Event Center open at 6:00 pm. The event is free and open to all fans and media.
The Americans will open the regular season for the first time as a member of the ECHL on Friday, October 24th at home against the Tulsa Oilers at 7:05 pm . Tickets for all Allen Americans home games are on sale at www.ticketmaster.com or call (972) 912-1000 .
