Royals Announce Additional Transactions

Reading Royals News Release


Reading, PA - The Reading Royals of the ECHL, affiliate of the Philadelphia Flyers of the National Hockey League and Lehigh Valley Phantoms of the American Hockey League, today announced that, in addition to transactions announced earlier today, the team has: (i) released forward Brandon Blandina from his ECHL Standard Players Contract: (ii) suspended defenseman Matt Campanale; (iii) released forward Justin Daniels from his Tryout Agreement with the team and signed him to an ECHL SPC; (iv) released forward Olivier Labelle from his Tryout Agreement and signed him to an ECHL SPC; (v) placed forward Derek Mathers on the ECHL Reserve List; (vi) placed forward Andrew Johnston on the ECHL Reserve List; and (vii) placed forward Kevin Walrod on the 21-Day Injured Reserve. The Royals open the 2014-15 season on Saturday, October 18, at WesBanco Arena in Wheeling, West Virginia, where the team will face the Wheeling Nailers. The home portion of the schedule will kick off the following Saturday (October 25, 2014 @ 7:05 pm) when the Elmira Jackals travel to Santander Arena. Royals' season tickets are currently available.
